Currency
All Public Services, organisations, banks and businesses close on public holidays. In the resort areas and coastal towns some shops and services do not close. Banks do not close on December 24 Police stations and hospitals do not close. Names, addresses and telephone numbers of chemists (pharmacies, drug stores) open on public holidays are listed in the daily papers. Or call answer service numbers: Nicosia: 1412, Limassol: 1415, Larnaca 1414, Paphos: 1416, Famagusta: 1413.
